Begin your discovery
Arrive in Sorong airport from where it is a short 20 minute journey by private vehicle and tender to the boat, home for the next 7 nights. Once aboard, set sail for Batanta Island where we will anchor for the first night. The smallest of Raja Ampat’s four main islands, Batanta is the perfect introduction to the beauty of the reef and rainforest.
This morning sail to the beautiful Fam Islands to enjoy hidden bays and sheltered blue lagoons. Explore by kayak or dive to see some of the most beautiful coral gardens in the region. In the early evening, take a sunset hike to reach the highest point on one of the islands and admire the panoramic views.
One of the closest islands to the Equator in Raja Ampat, Kawe Island offers spectacular white sand beaches and beautiful scenery including a lovely waterfall on the western side of the island. There are fantastic opportunities for diving and snorkeling here to find impressive coral formations teeming with schools of fish, or be lucky enough to swim with manta rays.
Arrive in the Wayag archipelago, the jewel of Raja Ampat, and enjoy a day amongst the region’s most iconic scenery. It’s well worth making the effort to climb one of the many island peaks for breathtaking views of the stunning landscapes. Enjoy diving or snorkeling, experiencing the incredibly rich marine life, or paddle board along the shoreline of the dramatic limestone islands. In the evening, enjoy a few cocktails and a barbeque on the beach.
Wofoh Island is ideal for divers and non-divers alike. Multiple dive sites offer a mix of hard coral, barrel sponges and soft corals teeming with colourful fish. The calm surrounding waters are ideal for a kayaking and paddleboarding while the islands’ gorgeous white sand beaches are the perfect location for sundowners and barbeque dinner.
The waters of Kri Island offer some of the very best diving in all of Raja Ampat and its spectacular reef holds the world record for the number of fish species recorded in a single dive. As well as great schools of trevallies, tuna and barracuda, this is a one of the few locations to spot wobbegongs. A nearby long white sandbank is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day
Rise early and head ashore for a 40 minute trek into the jungle to look for the magnificent red bird of paradise. Afterwards, using the tenders, explore ‘The Passage’, a narrow straight that runs between Gam and Waigeo, where the rainforest meets the reef in a labyrinth of limestone teeming with wildlife. Enjoy bird watching or perhaps partake in some paddle-boarding or kayaking before an overnight cruise to Matan Island.
Enjoy a final swim before cruising back to Sorong where the journey ends. A tender and private vehicle will transfer to Sorong airport for the journey home or onward travel.
